HMTG “GEA” ITB

Geological Engineering Student Association “GEA” Bandung Institute of Technology – abbreviated as HMTG “GEA” ITB – is a student organization on the ITB campus based on geological science. Founded on May 6, 1955 by Prof. Sampoerno, this association was formerly called the Bandung Geological Students Association (PMGB) and is a fraction of the Geology and Mining Student Association (PMGP).

The HMHMTG “GEA” ITBTG symbol “GEA” ITB consists of geological hammer images in the middle of the Earth on the symbol showing professionalism as a geologist and a picture of Ganesha which means ITB. Another identity of the ITB HMTG member, the yellow field jacket.

In addition, HHMTG "GEA" ITBMTG “GEA” ITB also routinely held community service events such as Geohumanism, geological competitions such as Geology Student Competition, GEA relaxing music or MUSANG, and actively cooperated with the Student Section of the Indonesian Geological Association (SM-IAGI) and AAPG SC ITB (American Association of Petroleum Geologists Student Chapter ITB).
